Bennett is an award-winning writer, director, producer, and editor.
With over fourteen years of professional experience, Ben’s films and commercials have played to a wide range of audiences from national commercials to short films with over four million views on YouTube.
In 2019, Ben released a short film he wrote, produced, co-edited and directed: Miner's Mountain. The film debuted to a sold out crowd in his hometown of Wilmington, North Carolina at the Cucalorus Film Festival.
Ben was nominated for Best Director at the Beaufort International Film Festival and the film won the Best Short Film prize. As the festival run was cut short due to Covid-19, the film was chosen to premiere online as a featured short on the popular website film shortage. In their words, “Featured shorts meet the highest standards. Our weekly picks are the benchmarks from today’s indie filmmakers.”
In 2022, Miner’s Mountain won the Best Horror Short at the Indie Film Awards in Los Angeles. Since then, the film has garnered upwards of
4 million views on YouTube.
His international award winning film “The Visitor,” won the Best Acting Award in the 2015 MyRodeReel short film competition. Ben co-wrote, produced, directed and edited the film. Regarded as the largest online film festival in the world, “The Visitor,” also placed in the top 5 finalists for: Best Drama, Best Cinematography, Best Behind the Scenes, and Judges’ Choice Best Film.
